Dan Spelling

Mr. Spelling spent more than 30 years developing his skills and experience in the public relations and marketing fields. Some of his previous positions include: Director of Account Services at Design Communications, an advertising/creative services agency; Media Coordinator for the public relations firm P.J. Roth & Associates; VP of Sales/Marketing at Book Source, a national Book distribution and marketing firm and Imprint Publisher for Perigee Books/Putnam Publishing Group.

Mr. Spelling is a member of the American Marketers Association, the Entertainment Publicists Professional Society, the Public Relations Society of America and the Institute of Management Consultants. He has served on numerous advisory boards including Variety’s Showbiz Expo, the IDG EnterTech Expo, the Hollywood Reporter’s Post LA Expo, The Children’s Bureau of Los Angeles.

Mr. Spelling has been interviewed by top business and trade publications like PR Week, Public Relations Strategy and Los Angeles Business Journal. He is frequently a guest speaker at top-tier professional forums such as The Private Equity Conference at the Yale Club in New Work, The Venture Capital West conference in San Francisco and The Strategic Research Institute’s Hispanic Marketing Conference. He has also been a guest lecturer at USC’s Annenberg School for communication. He holds a BA degree in Liberal Arts from University of California at Davis.


Brian McWilliams

Mr. McWilliams has fifteen years of public relations experience placing clients in national publications and broadcasts, including The New York Times, The Today Show, Nightline, Variety, The Los Angeles Times, Sports Illustrated and many more. His industry specialties include entertainment & media, nonprofit, technology and hospitality. Before coming to the PR firm of Spelling Communications, Mr. McWilliams formerly served as Account Executive at Levine Communications.

Some of his past clients include iconic film producers Robert Evans as well as Peter Guber of Mandalay Entertainment. His work on the Academy Award campaign for stuntmen’s group, Stunts Unlimited, gained a Bronze Award for Arts and Entertainment in the 2006 Bulldog for Excellence in Media Relations and Publicity. Mr. McWilliams is a graduate of The Penn State University, Main Campus, with a BA in English.


W. Jason Grimley

With more than eighteen years of marketing and public relations experience, Jason Grimley worked as an account executive with Los Angeles based PR agency Crier Communications and as a Jr. A.E. with NJ based Roberts Michaels Marketing before joining Spelling Communications. He has also served as the public relations consultant to the Orphans Theater Company and Lodestone Theater Company in Los Angeles.

Mr. Grimley has placements in national business publications that include My Business, Fortune Magazine and The Wall Street Journal as well as entertainment publications like Variety, Hollywood Reporter and Movie Maker Magazine. He has in-depth expertise in several industry categories, including media & entertainment, advertising & marketing and technology. He also specializes in training for presentation, public speaking and media interview coaching. Mr. Grimley graduated from Rowan State University with a B.A. in Public Relations.
